Nutrien Manager Josh Lawlor with one of the defibrillators
10th Oct 2023

The Guyra & Community Progress Association are pleased to announce the purchase of two Defibrillators for our community.
One will be placed at the Guyra Showground Community Hall & the other at Nutrien Guyra for the community to borrow along with a First Aid Kit for events such as Bull Sales, Clearing Sales etc.
This project was made possible with funding from the White Rock Wind Farm Community Fund.
A Welcome BBQ will be held on Sunday 5th November for anyone who would like to learn how to use these vital pieces of equipment.
Have you recently moved to Guyra or are you a current/long term resident?
The Guyra and Community Progress Association is excited to announce we will be hosting the first of our annual ‘Welcome to Guyra - Meet and Greet’ BBQ’s.
Coinciding with the BBQ, our local VRA have kindly offered to provide Snake and Spider bite First Aid awareness training, and a vital education session on how to use the recently acquired Heart Defibrillators.
For catering purposes, please RSVP to progress@guyra.net. Refer to the attached flyer.
Lawn games will be on offer for the children, and remember to bring a hat and a chair.
If any Guyra Community Service Groups or Sporting Groups would like to host an information and recruitment stand, please feel free to join us.
We look forward to meeting you on 5th November - 11am at the Mother of Ducks Lagoon.
Most importantly, we would like to thank and acknowledge the VRA for giving of their valuable time, and New England Community College Guyra, for loaning their AED for demonstration purposes.
This initiative is proudly funded by the NSW Government and White Rock Wind Farm, in association with the Guyra and Community Progress Association.
